MixAlco® converts readily available, low-cost, non-food biomass into chemicals that can be processed into renewable gasoline.
The technology provides a renewable energy resource at a potentially low cost for consumers.
It is economical at both large and small scales.
Because the conversion technology is non-sterile, MixAlco® plants can be built for about $2.00 per annual gallon versus > $3.00 per gallon for other technologies.
A wide variety of products may be produced, many of which are completely compatible with our current energy and chemical infrastructure.
The process uses non-sterile feedstock-flexible anaerobic fermentation and conventional chemistry, resulting in lower capital and operating costs than other biochemical or thermochemical technologies.
